略传
Charles R. Ault, Jr. (“Kip”), Professor Emeritus, for twenty-four years coordinated the Science M.A.T. Program at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in Portland, Oregon. His courses served K-12 educators and featured field study in geology and natural history. Ault studied science education and paleontology as a graduate student at Cornell University, leading to an interest in teaching about geologic time. He is the author of Do Elephants Have Knees?, Challenging Science Standards, and On Beyond Science Standards—books that focus on the value of teaching the earth sciences. Before responding to the call of academia, Ault enjoyed the privilege of teaching elementary and middle school children in Connecticut and Colorado.
